My dad was in the Marine Corps, stationed in the Philippines from 1958-1962 (I was born a few years after that), and the "cure" for anxiety when I was young was "Do it anyway!" But isn't it nice to be learning the coping skills that allow you to feel comfortable to live life on your terms? You are capable of doing whatever YOU want to do, when YOU are ready to do it.
Thank you again for sharing. Your posts are always moving and meaningful, and I appreciate you sharing your experiences, and the insight you gain along the way. You are an inspiration.
